Milk Was a Bad Choice

I'm a big fan of trips.
I'm not picky either, I will go pretty much anywhere, even if I've been there a bunch of times before, there is always something new to discover.
A couple weekends ago, we decided to take a spontaneous little trip down to La Jolla.
Exploring a beautiful secluded beach village right outside San Diego sounded like the perfect way to spend the weekend.
La Jolla has a Mediterranean charm with a Californian twist to it.
It is perched high above where the cliffs meet the sea.
The streets are lined with designer stores and Michelin star restaurants, right alongside surf shacks and hipster cafes.
Below the quaint and eclectic streets of the Village, you will find sea caves and tide pools scattered along the cliffs.

Oh and I forgot to mention... the seals! 

They sprawl out and sunbathe all along the beach and tide pools, and if you're lucky you might even spot a little furry pup.

Okay, enough of that

Our day continued at the Museum of Contemporary Art, this place housed many strange pieces of art, inside and out.
It's really quirky place and has a gorgeous panoramic ocean view.
Also, it has free entry, so if you ever find yourself in La Jolla I'd definitely recommend a visit!

We stayed at a beautiful resort called, Estancia. 

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the resort, but I'm sure I will be back so I will next time!

The weekend was incredibly relaxing.

Delicious food, champagne by the outdoor fireplace, jacuzzi sessions, and a day spent meandering along the beach front.

Not a bad little getaway!
